Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Phnom Penh –Sihanoukville
Depart from Phnom Penh with your guide for the short drive to Sihanoukville (3 hours). Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day free at leisure for swimming and relaxation on the beach. Overnight in Sihanoukville.
Day 2 - Sihanoukville (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Day free at leisure or join one of our optional activities. Overnight in Sihanoukville.
Day 3 - Sihanoukville (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Day free at leisure or join one of our optional activities. Overnight in Sihanoukville.
Day 4 - Sihanoukville – Phnom Penh (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Free at leisure until transfer back to Phnom Penh early afternoon.
Optional activity: - Discover Kampot and Kep (full day)
This morning, drive along the coast to Kampot, about 2 hours from Sihanoukville. The charming riverside town Kampot with its magnificent surroundings is famous for pepper of excellent quality and taste, which used to be the favorite choice of French chefs before the war. The town is still dominated by French colonial architecture and the people are very open and friendly. Explore the laid-back town on a walking tour and absorb the pleasant atmosphere. On the short 45 minutes’ drive to Kep, you will have plenty of chances to visit the salt fields, where the workers are still gathering salt by hand (Note: The salt fields are only in operation in the dry season from November to May). Enjoy a trip through the countryside to see the pepper plantations and some beautiful caves with Buddhist shrines in the vicinity. Upon arrival in Kep, stroll through town, where crumbling holiday villas are contemporary witnesses to Kep’s former glorious times as Cambodia’s premier beach resort. The beaches are nowadays still quite charming and Kep makes for a quiet retreat. Lunch will be served at the Sailing Club in a truly relaxed atmosphere by the sea. From here, you can rent Sea Kayaks and boats to further explore the coast or just hang out and relax on the deck chairs or take a plunge from the Sailing Club’s pier. Time at leisure until return to Sihanoukville in the afternoon. – CNY490 per person
Optional activity: - Snorkeling (full day)
Enjoy an interesting day trip towards the reefs off Sihanoukville’s coast where you will have ample opportunity to spot some colorful fish. (NOTE: This day trip is only possible in June due to the low visability later in the raining season.) – CNY225 per person
Optional activity: - Boat Trip to Island (full day)
Head out by boat in the morning for an exciting trip to the best of the many islands lying offshore from Sihanoukville. You will be taken to Koh Russei, also called Bamboo Island (transfer time 1 hour). Upon arrival and a short hike through the forest across the island, you will have time at leisure at the fine beach in the North of the island, which is still pristine and lined with Casuarina trees. You will not see many other people there. Activities here include sunbathing, snorkeling, swimming and just relaxing! - CNY460 per person
Optional activity: - Excursion to Ream National park (full day)
Enjoy a pleasant day away from the crowds in Ream National Park, just 30 minutes away from Sihanoukville. Here, take a boat trip through the stunning mangrove forest and on to a beautiful stretch of tropical sand beach in the National Park area. Relax for a bit over here and take in the natural beauty of this place, before returning to Sihanoukville – CNY560 per person.
