For the avid traveler, India provides authentic adventure as it is stimulating, absorbing, daunting, and even shocking all at the same time. However, one is always left with the pleasant memories of India's hospitality, good humor, and generosity.
A popular route for travelers to India, the Golden Triangle constitutes of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. Given that these three beautiful cities brimming over with energy and history, it is easy to understand their continuing popularity. From Delhi, where we take in both the grandeur of Amber Fort and the scientific curiousity of the Iron Pillar, to Agra, the seat of the world-renowned Taj Mahal, this package offers the best of India. 

Travel Itinerary

Day 01 - Arrive in Delhi - (D)

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Check in at 12:00 p.m.

Day 02 - Old and New Delhi to Jaipur - (B,D)

Following breakfast, you will begin on a combined city tour of Old and New Delhi. In Old Delhi, an ancient walled city, you will first drive past Red Fort, the most opulent fort and palace of the Mughal Empire. Next, you will be shown Raj Ghat, the memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi; Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India; and Chandri Chowk, the bustling and colourful market of the old city. New Delhi follows, which includes visits to such sights as the Qutab Minar, a 72-meter high tower and one of the most perfect towers in the Persian world; the Iron Pillar, which has survived the vagaries of weather for over 1500 years; and New Delhi's embassy and government building area. Later, we will drive to the Jai Mahal Palace in Jaipur. Upon arrival, you will check in.

Day 03 - Jaipur - (B,D)

Following breakfast, we visit Fort Amber, the former capital of the royal Rajputs. Few fail to be moved by the dramatic Rajput grandeur of this hilltop fortress-palace north of Jaipur. This morning we will ride up to this hilltop palace on a caparisoned, painted elephant, passing through the ancient main gate where Maharajas of Jaipur have entered for four hundred years. Our guide will elaborate on the history of this architectural masterpiece with its mirror-studded alcoves, dazzling mosaics and water-cooled swings that delight today’s visitors as they did their former royal residents. In the afternoon, we visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), a five-storied structure of pink sandstone with impressive semi-octagonal and delicately honeycombed windows overlooking the main street of the old city. We proceed to the City Palace, a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture in the heart of the city, and Solar Observatory - an astronomical treasure house with solar devices that give accurate predictions to this day.

Day 04 - Jaipur to Agra - (B,D)

En-route to Agra, we will take a tour of Fatehpur Sikri: the "ghost capital", a UNESCO World Heritage Site, host to many magnificently preserved buildings. The incredible white marble mosque in the secular section is sacred and pilgrims come from all over to pay their respects. Following the tour, we continue on to Agra to check in to your hotel. The rest of the day for activities at your leisure.

Day 05 - Agra - (B,D)

Following breakfast, we will begin the day at the Taj Mahal: one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. It was built in the memory of the beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal of one of the greatest kings Shah Jehan of the Mughal Empire. Agra City: Agra is not only famous for Taj Mahal but the impressive Mughal Red Fort known as the Agra Fort. This impressive red sandstone fort was built by Akbar between 1565-1573 A.D. Complete with gateways, pillared halls, mosques, marble trellises and geometric gardens, the Fort represents Mughal architecture at its peak. The rest of the day for activities at your leisure.

Day 06 - Agra to Delhi - (B,D)

Today is free to take part in activities at your leisure. Later, we drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home.
