Leave the city and appreciate the landscape of the paddy fields area in Guangxi. Walk into the villages, along the river. You will appreciate this off the beaten track place.
September and October are the best periods to go.
Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Guilin - Ping'an
Fly to Guilin. Your guide and driver will meet you at the airport and drive you to the terrace paddy fields in Longji. Take a 30-minutes walk and arrive in the village of Ping'an in your wooden hostel with a view over the terrace paddy fields. Discover the village and its traditional houses. After a 20-minutes walk, appreciate the sunset from the top of the hill.

Day 2 - Ping'an - Dazhai - Li River - Xingping (B)
After breakfast, visit the village of Ping'an and Dazhai (30-minute drive). Then go for a hike into the paddy fields and meet Yao's women, famous for their beautiful hand-made costumes, their heavy jewels, and their long hair landing sometimes on the floor.
Drive to Xingping close to the Li River, one of the most beautiful karstic landscape in China. Cross the river by boat and arrive in your hostel.
In the evening, on the Li River, attend a traditional cormorant fishing, under the light of lanterns.

Day 3 - Xingping - Fuli - Yangshuo (B)
After breakfast, walk along the Li River through small villages of fishermen, paddy fields and bambou groves. Appreciate the bamboo rafting. Go back to Xingping and transfer by private car to the village of Fuli (30-minutes drive). Rafting cruise on the river from Fuli to Liugong. Lunch on the riverside (excluded). Transfer by private car to Yangshuo (30-minute drive) and arrive in your resort, close to the Yulong River and the lively district (free shuttles available all day). Discover the Yangshuo center.
In the evening, enjoy a musical show, based on "Liu San Jie", a famous Chinese musical show, which was directed by Zhang Yimou during the Olympics.

Day 4 - Yangshuo - Yulong River (B)
After breakfast, visit the countryside with your guide by bike, from Yangshuo to Jiuxian, along the river and through the paddy fields.
Arrive in the preserved-village of Jiuxian, known for its traditional houses. Continuation until Dragon Bridge 400 years old (so-called Yulong Bridge).
Lunch on the pier of the bridge. Back on a raft (without engine) to your resort or the Bouddha grottoe (hot springs and mud bath), or the Dragon grottoe. Passage through the moon hill. Come back in Yangshuo and spend the night.

Day 5 - Yangshuo - Guilin - Beijing (B)
Free morning. Transfer to the airport of Guilin and fly to Beijing.
