Incredible experience in Pyongyang.Discover an other way of life.
2001 marked the end of what the Koreans have called the 'Arduous March’ - the food and economic crisis of the late‘90s.Though still extremely serious the situation has been largely 'stabilised' due in part to the foreign aid agencies who have been working in the DPRK. For the first time foreign hard currency is being actively sought and there is greater contact with the outside world. Whilst some would herald this as the country opening up we would be less speculative and see it as a very gradual and controlled change.
